Row 1: String beads to fit around hanger at the top of the
ornament and tie into a circle. For this ornament it will be 33
beads. Always use an ODD number here. Leave the tail to
work in later. (Image 1)
Rows 2: To start the next row, go through 2 beads, pick up 3
beads, skip 2 beads, go through 1 bead on the base row.
Repeat this step all the way around the circle. (Image 2)
Row 3: Work another row using this step. (Image 3)

The red beads show where the increases and decreases take place.

Supplies you will need:
1. One hank of green, size 10, seed
beads.
2. One hank of red, size 10, seed beads.
3. White, size D, beading thread.
4. Beading needle.
5. One Christmas ornament, size 2-3/4".
6. Scissors.
7. Clear finger-nail polish
to dab on knots.

Rows 4 & 5:Two rows-Pick up 5 beads and work around the circle.
Rows 6 & 7: Two rows-Pick up 7 beads and work around the circle.
Rows 8 & 9: Two rows-Pick up 9 beads and work around the circle.
Rows 10 & 11: Two rows-Pick up 11 beads and work around the circle.
Rows 12,13, 14, & 15: Pick up 13 beads and work around the circle.

Row 16 & 17: Start to decrease here. The top portion has been
worked as a flat piece (placing it on the ornament occasionally to see
how it fits.) Now is the time to work the remainder on the ornament.
The decreases will be from 13 beads, to 11 beads, to 9 beads, to 7
beads, to 5 beads, to 3 beads.
